Steve grew up in Ottawa, ON. He graduated from Queens University with his Bachelor of Commerce, traveled for two months around the world and somehow found himself in small town Antigonish, NS working as General Manager of Canadian Tire in June 2019. 


Maria grew up in Antigonish but travelled to Halifax in 2016 to attend Dalhousie University College of Pharmacy. 


When a fun little virus hit in 2020, Maria’s program finished early and she found herself in Antigonish more often working relief at Lawton’s and Steve found himself stuck in the same small town looking for friends to join him out to Jazz Night at The Townhouse. This was the start of a new story with two right swipes and a sweet goat meme conversation starter. 


Since then Steve and Maria have had quite the adventure from Maria moving to Antigonish full time, both moving to Toronto for Steve’s new GM role in Mississauga, and now a move back to NS/NB where Steve is taking on a new role as DSM for CT in New Brunswick and Maria is back with her roots at Sobeys in both provinces. All the while enjoying each other’s company, making memories with family and raising their first born, Sydney, with all the treats, toys and travel she could’ve imagined. 


They’re so excited to now be celebrating a new milestone with all of their closest family and friends and couldn’t have hoped for better company in the next step of their adventure 🤍
