Maria and David met in 2015 working as food service workers at Masonicare. They were co-workers first and then friends. Whether is was early morning breakfast shifts or the dinner shift, they always had something to talk about and shared many laughs.

Four years later, David expressed how he felt about Maria as they walked around the small pond at Masonicare. Later that week, they went on their first date.

Fast forward to 2023, David asked Maria to walk around Great Hollow Lake near their home. Half way through their walk around the lake, David got down on one knee and asked Maria to marry him.
