Pool House dates back to the 1720's and was built in the Queen-Ann style. The house has seen many changes over the years; the home of local MP James Badger, and it passed through the generations until it became a hotel. The house is awash with old post-cards from residents enjoying their stay, and framed images of the house in a bygone era, carefully curated by Philip and Jeremy.

In the sixties it had a camping site and a tea-room serving passing boating parties. Then a fall out between the family caused the house to be split into two, with people sharing a staircase but never speaking as they passed!

The house was bought and converted back into a single home, again being run as a B&B. More recently, it was a Spa and treatment business and whole-house rental.

Philip and Jeremy purchased Pool House in January 2022, and have since been lovingly restoring and sympathetically updating the interior and making much needed improvements to the exterior. The gardens have also seen changes to improve its beautiful old trees and lovely additions to the beds of flowers, and a new vegetable plot.

Pool House is a warm and welcoming building that has retained all the character of its past.
