Getting to Scotia
Flying:
The closest airport is the Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport (ACV) in McKinleyville, a 45 minute drive to Scotia. The airport is small, but it does have regular direct flights to/from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Burbank, and Denver via United and Avelo Airlines. There are also on-site rental car services. The second closest airport is Santa Rosa (3.5 hour drive).
Driving:
Scotia is a 4.5 hour drive north on 101 from San Francisco and is roughly 30 minutes south of Eureka.
We've included some hotel and B&B options below if the 22 rooms at the Scotia Lodge are already booked. You are welcome to also book an airbnb.
Scotia is very small - there's a little market across the street from the venue, but not much to eat in Scotia, Rio Dell or immediately around. We recommend if you stay in Scotia and are looking for places to eat that you head to Ferndale or Fortuna (10 - 20 minutes away). Check out "Things To Do" for recommendations on places to eat.
Getting to/from the venue
Please know that this is a very rural area. There won't be shuttle services as they just aren't an option here.
There are reliable taxis, Uber and Lyft in Humboldt County but we recommend that you book rides in advance or you may be in for a long wait.

We plan to have a couple cabs on hand the night of so that guests can get a ride back to their hotels, but we encourage you to carpool or plan in advance if you are not planning to drive.

Scotia Lodge

We have blocked off all 22 rooms at the Scotia Lodge. This room block is only for two night reservations (Fri - Sun). All of the rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator.
The Redwood Riverwalk
10 minute drive to the wedding venue, located right next to the welcome party location.

We have held a number of rooms - they are available for one or two nights (or more if youd like). Rooms must be booked before June 11th - after that day, the hotel will release any remaining rooms to the general public and we cant guarantee the same rate or availability.
