Marina and Anthony met in 2009 when Marina began to work at Sorrento's on Mcphillips. At first, Marina thought Anthony was kinda weird and was not at all interested. It wasn't until their shifts were switched around that Marina realized that she kinda liked the weirdo Italian that hit on her all the time.

From time to time Anthony would ask Marina on dates which Marina would laugh off assuming he was kidding, which Anthony usually was, but thought he'd take a shot. Anthony would often say to Marina "Ya, we should go for lunch sometime." In March of 2010, Marina texted Anthony asking "So when are ya gunna take me for lunch?" Shortly after Marina and Anthony went on their first date at Wasabi on Taylor. However, things didn't really work out this time around.

Marina was still very into Anthony in May, 2010. While attending her university orientation, Marina thought she'd try to get Anthony to talk to her again by asking him if he knew where the Rice building was. Now if you've ever attended U of W or driven down Portage you would know that the Rice building has a huge sign spelling out Rice, in other words it is very well identified. However, this ploy worked and she and Anthony began texting and going on dates. They made things official on June 3rd 2010 over ice cream at Sargent Sundae. The rest, as they say, is history.
