We met online in January of 2020 and the rest is history. I was living in Farmville and pursuing my masters degree in counselor education. Malik was working at the Weyanoke Hotel. Right after Malik and I met and began dating, Covid happened. Needless to say, we were in each other’s inner circles. From countless date nights to shutting down Press Club (a bar in Farmville), we made a life together. After finishing my masters degree, I went back to live in Lynchburg. Malik lived in Appomattox for a while, but we both realized we could not even live 30 minutes away from each other. That brings us to now, Malik and I are living in Farmville with our 5 cats, Gingersnap, Mochi, Mousse, Rosie, and Nugget and our dog, Snoopy.
