Adam & Marissa’s wedding will take place in Silverton, Colorado on October 1, 2022.
Silverton is a small town tucked away in the San Juan mountains, where the elevation is higher than the population. (Read: 9,318 feet above sea level and 534 residents). There is no airport, and the only way to access this historic mining village is by traversing the winding and mountainous Million Dollar Highway that connects to Durango. While the trek is challenging, the reward is worth it, with towering mountains, fresh air, and breathtaking views. And the sights in October, when the wedding takes place, are sure to be enjoyed with yellow aspens and vibrant call colors.
That being said, the size of Silverton means limited accommodations. If you are traveling from out of state and know that you will be attending, it is recommended that you book your hotel or rental in advance. Places can book up quickly, especially when people are leaf peeping in the fall colors. RSVP's are encouraged by August 20 and we highly recommend finding overnight accommodations IN SILVERTON sooner than later. (The road from Silverton to Durango is challenging, and we strongly discourage driving back after the party or in the dark).
We will have camping available onsite at the venue the night of the wedding. If you would like to camp, please indicate that in your RSVP. Otherwise, please visit the Travel page of this website for links to cabin and hotel rentals.
We are so excited to celebrate with our nearest and dearest. Please join us for a good time! We’ll be getting groovy. And as you may know, Marissa loves a good themed party. So, while it is not required, we'd be excited to see you in your finest disco or 70s inspired attire!
