If I told you that, on a random Saturday in March, to get dressed up and go out dancing because you were going to meet the love of your life, you would probably laugh. You'd say I'd been reading too many fairytales, and that doesn't actually happen in real life. Then I would laugh, and say yes, actually, it does.

Olivia and Mark met at a swing dance club in Tulsa, on a random Saturday in March, in 2022. She saw him from across the dance floor, and knew he was the only person she wanted to dance with that night. The club was still requiring masks because of COVID, so she was unable to fully see his face, but there was something about the sparkle in his eyes that immediately caught her attention and drew her in.

Mark was equally enchanted with the dancing light in her eyes, and was amused by her constant giggling through the night. They talked, they laughed, and at the end of the night, they both knew they wanted to see the other again.

Over the course of the next year, they shared many late night conversations, many adventures, and expended countless gallons of gas driving between Owasso and Fayetteville to see each other. The magic they felt the first time they met had not faded, in fact, it had only grown stronger.

And so, while on vacation in Florida, Mark opened a new chapter of their lives, when, surrounded by family, he asked Olivia to marry him. The only reason she didn't say yes any faster, was because she was screaming with delight and excitement.

So if anyone says fairytale romances don't exist, I am here to tell you that they are wrong. Look no further than the happy couple, who eagerly, and with great impatience, await the happy day where they longer have to make the one hundred mile trek to see each other, or delay in calling each other husband and wife.
