Woodward Park is best known for two garden areas, the Upper and Lower Rock Gardens, and the formal terraces of the Tulsa Rose Garden, both established during the 1930s using public monies and constructed by laborers enrolled in work‐relief programs. The rockeries, designed by Arthur S. Phillips and opened to the public in 1932, utilize honeycombed limestone slabs to establish lily pools and lagoons, walking paths and fairy circles, a grotto, and erosion controlling terraces. Later additions to the rock gardens included more terracing with sandstone blocks, and, in 1968, beds of colorful azaleas.

Philbrook Museum of Art is committed to being Tulsa’s most welcoming and engaging cultural institution, providing a unique trifecta of experiences: a historic home, world class art museum, 25 acres of gardens.
Philbrook Museum of Art opened on October 25, 1939. The addition of a 70,000 square foot wing in 1990 turned the historic home into a modern museum complex. A major garden renovation in 2004 cemented the Museum’s reputation as “the most beautiful place in Oklahoma.”
Through bold action and strategic investment, we create a space for new ideas, diverse stories and perspectives, and social connection. The Philbrook Collection features more than 16,000 objects with a focus on American, Native American, and European art. Serving over 160,000 visitors annually, Philbrook shines a light on Tulsa’s storied and complex past while building a diverse and creative vision of the city’s future.

My father Angelo Aloisio immigrated from Abruzzi Italy. He soon became an Executive Chef. Through him, I developed a passion for fine Italian cuisine. Using our one-of-a-kind family recipes, I opened the first Mondo’s in 1969. The quality of the food spread by word of mouth, and Mondo’s quickly became known as one of the best Italian restaurants in the region. With the help of my sons Michael, Rob and Christo we’ve won numerous awards, including “Best Italian Restaurant in Tulsa”.
To this day, our restaurant has stayed true to our family values and our family recipes. We have never cut corners on cost or quality. Simply put, we always strive to be the best.
We truly are a Family owned and operated Italian restaurant. We have 8 Aloisio family members working here today. Please come and experience a true Italian family dinning experience with the Aloisio's. If the doors are open, an Aloisio will be in the house.
“Taste history.”
Cent’anni,
Michael, Rob, "Papa" Lou, and Christo Aloisio
