What is the dress code for the wedding?
We prefer business casual for the dress code. Nice jeans or khakis with a nice shirt for the men, and knee length to floor length dresses for the women. Optional sport jacket for the men.
What do you suggest for transportation around the city?
There are plenty of Uber and Lyft drivers, so you can definitely get away with not renting a car. We do recommend renting a car if you are visiting for longer than about two days, especially if you want to visit mountain towns. If you plan on staying in the Denver area, the longest drives are from the airport to the hotels we have put under the travel tab on our website. Golden is on the opposite side of the city from the airport, so expect about a 45-60min drive and the bill to go with that.
If you want to visit the mountains, please try to rent a four wheel drive vehicle. Snow patterns are odd in this area because of the altitude. There is also a lot of traffic on I-70 (which is also on the way to the venue) due to skiers and snowboarders heading up to the slopes.
We don't want to book a hotel for our stay; are there any other options?
Thank goodness for Airbnb, am I right? There are quite a few affordable places to stay throughout the city. If you want to stay as close to the venue as possible, we suggest selecting an Airbnb in Lakewood. It is especially helpful to be close to I-70 or 470. If you want to be closer to the downtown area, there are a lot of fun places to stay in RiNo, LoHi, etc. You can't beat the food and entertainment in that location. If you want to stay in a place close to the mountains, Golden or Evergreen are your options! All these options are generally close to the venue; you are free to select other places to stay, but it will be a bit of a drive to get to the wedding.
Are children allowed to come?
Absolutely! We are so looking forward to seeing all the tiny humans. :)
