Mark and Alyra met on October 2nd, 2021 for what they thought would be a simple Star Wars tabletop Game with nursing school friends.

Mark's Perspective:

Wowee I didn't know she was cute... and smart... and funny... oh jeez...

Alyra's Perspective:

I've never played this kind of game before... I hope they like me. Oh wow, he's really cute...Ok...don't turn red...everything is fine

On December 24th, 2021, Mark asked the first question to start their love story.

Mark's Perspective:

I mean she has to have a boyfriend already, right? I know I'll regret not asking so screw it... Oh god why didn't I come up with a plan for if she said yes

Alyra's Perspective:

Mark is just the best... I can definitely keep my crush on him a secret.

Hmm, how did I mess up the Christmas dinner cranberry sauce, time to research.

Oh, a text from Mark!

On May 15, 2022, beneath a starry night and a lunar eclipse, Mark and Alyra shared those three precious words for the very first time – 'I love you.'

On June 5th, 2023, besides the San Marcos rapids mark got on one knee and asked the question they had been waiting for. Mark said those magical words, and of course, Alyra said, 'Yes!'

Mark's Perspective:

Okay here we go, the river is right ther-oh no she's being goofy and running away. Please no-okay, now she's hiding behind a tree hehehe. Please come back, plea-oh thank god, okay here we go

Alyra's Perspective:

Aw, wow, this place is exactly what I was looking for!

Hehehe, I'm going to be silly and run to go hide behind a tree.

Where is he? He isn't coming to look for me, guess I'll come out of my hiding.

Oh there he is, and he's holding a box, a music box, my favorite!

Oh, there's something sparkling in there, OH he's on one knee!

And so, our journey to forever has begun with the love and support of families and friends.

We are beyond grateful for every moment, every memory, and every person who has been a part of our lives. We can't wait to celebrate this special day with each and every one of you.
