While you're in town, you can explore the North Carolina and Virginia piedmont.

While we're a bit far from a large city like Charlotte, there are places likes Winston-Salem and Greensboro right nearby. Even Eden, where one of the hotels is, has things to do. Durham, a bit farther away, is a hip city. Raleigh, the state capitol, has its charms. Daniel's parents live over by Falls Lake, a bit north of downtown Raleigh, and are very familiar with the often fantastic restaurants and nature that Raleigh/Durham area has to offer. They're happy to recommend places.

If you have time to head west of Boma by about 50 minutes, Daniel recommends a drive up Pilot Mountain for spectacular views of the surrounding area. It's a climb that will put good use to your transmission but it's worth it!
