A few months before COVID, Mark was heading to Alaska after a season in Big Sky as a traveling bartender and Myki had just moved from Bozeman to Phoenix for her next big adventure. Once the pandemic hit, he was stuck in Bozeman and she had moved back to work with her dad in construction. A few months passed and Myki scored a hot air balloon trip with a friend. Little did she know it was with the crew and manager of a bar Mark worked at called Bar IX. She was offered a job and started the following week. He was one of her first trainers at the job and the connection was nearly instant. After a few weeks and a few Fernet shots, they started dating.

Six months later, they adopted their Shiba Inu, Raya, and got their own apartment.

In the summer of 2023, they took their first trip to Indonesia where Myki met the parents and Mark proposed. Now they are building their life together filled with traveling, finding new shows and movies to watch, and enjoying all the adventures and food they can get their hands on.

After growing up on opposite sides of the world, fate worked hard to bring these two together when the time was right.
