Our Wedding

Our Story

For those of that have spent any amount of time in Cedar Falls Iowa, you're probably aware of the annual Sturgis Falls celebration downtown. This just happens to be where we met for the very first time in 2015. We had some mutual friends and ended up all spending a day together at some point during the festival weekend.

We continued our friendship, along with an entourage of notorious high school friends. During this time, we had the opportunity to go on a variety of adventures (mostly in Iowa) such as trips to Strawberry Point, Greyhound Park (if you know, you know) high school sports tournaments all around the state, and the infamous rock quarry. Needless to say, we all spent our fair share of time listening to Twenty One Pilots in Will's Jeep Liberty.

Highschool escapades

Post-high school graduation, we both attended Iowa State University starting fall 2018. To say we were excited that we both ended up at the same school is an understatement. We spent a good amount of time apart, occasionally reconnecting for pottery or coffee to catch up. Eventually, we collided again junior year, where we formed an unstoppable trio with our good buddy Adhy, who, unlike us, remained pretty oblivious to our undeniable chemistry.

Cyclone Power

In February of 2021, we went on our first official date to Eatery A in Des Moines. We've been utterly inseparable since. After cramming for exams together and eventually, college graduation in the summer of 2022, Will got a job offer in Louisville Colorado, so naturally we both packed our bags and drove out west towards our first shared apartment. Upon arrival and seeing the apartment for the first time, it left a lot to be desired, but together we made it into a home.

The big move

Sooner rather than later, we came to acquire our first two cats, Peach and Fern, who are just the best kitties you could ask for. Two apartments later and we bought our first home in Lafayette Colorado, where we found a little white cat on the street the day we moved in. Naturally, Mushroom became the 5th member of the family. Lately, it's been us and our three cats navigating home improvement, work, and still making time to ski and continue our coffee dates.
