Could it happen? Would it happen? The questions lingered, and on April 22, 2023, a hail-mary move to sign up for eharmony brought Albert Williams IV and Marly Guzman together.

Their first interaction, a picture-perfect match from East Coast to West Coast, sparked an unbreakable connection. On June 2, 2023, the “Portland Starlight Run” became the stage for their first date, which blossomed into exclusive dating and the dream of building a lasting relationship.

Eleven months of coast-to-coast travel, a big trip overseas with friends who became like family, and an early February 2024 job offer brought the two coast to coast travelers to the same city further strengthening their bond. On March 2, 2024, their final plane ride from New Jersey to Oregon continued their journey, creating a new chapter in their lives with their two dogs, Creed and Melo.

On an early Sunday morning in September 2024, as the first day of fall arrived, Albert entered the room with a big blue box resembling a book, with a bowed knee and a vulnerable and open heart, led to the question “Will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives together?” Amidst sleepy, teary eyes, overwhelming shock, and the joyful barks of their dogs, who somehow sensed the impending moment, Marly uttered the words, “I Do!”

Now, we eagerly await the next chapter of this incredible journey on August 15, 2025, in the picturesque city of San Juan, Puerto Rico. As we exchange vows and “I Do Forever,” we recognize God’s hand guiding our story and can’t wait to share this momentous occasion with you!
