Do you need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico?

Puerto Rico is common wealth of the US and does not require a passport or visa for travel. You will need your ID.

Is there a specific hotel or Airbnb to stay at?

Travel is to your liking, there is not a specific hotel or Airbnb to stay at, we do advise to look at surrounding areas near San Juan for your travel convenience.

Do I need to rent a car for my stay?

Depending on your accommodations your hotel may have a shuttle available. If you want to go around the island and explore we recommend renting a car to get around.

What is the desired attire for the William’s Wedding?

How will parking be at the wedding/reception?

There is parking on site for a designated cost.

How early should I leave to get to the wedding venue on time?

Friday in PR is high traffic time, please plan accordingly as the ceremony will start sharply at 5:00 p.m.

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Musueo de Arte de Puerto Rico in San Juan, PR.

Being a destination wedding, will there be a virtual broadcast to join remotely?

We definitely would love your attendance and understand if you’re not able to attend, but there will not be a virtual broadcast.

How early should I arrive at the airport from Puerto Rico back to the states?

It is important to give yourself A LOT of extra time at the airport, you will need to have bags checked through customs first, a very long line, and then drop your bags with your airline and then TSA, pre-check or not, the line is extremely long. To bring your stress levels down make sure to allot more than enough time.

Do I need Real ID to travel?

Yes, you will need Real ID to travel, in the US as of May 7, 2025 this is a requirement. If you have a passport, it can be used, though not required, without a passport a Real ID is a government mandate.
