We encourage guests to consider staying at the Gordon Lodge. This will be the most convenient location to stay for the wedding, as it is on the same property as the wedding weekend events. For those interested in staying at the Gordon Lodge, you are encouraged to call to place your reservation. You will receive the block discount only through calling, and not making a reservation online. Please mention that is is for Michael &amp; Martha's wedding as well. If utilizing rooms in the block, a two night minimum is required. For further description of different room/cottage options, please refer to the Gordon Lodge website.

Door County is made up of small coastal towns, each with their own natural beauty, local businesses &amp; charm. Here are some of our favorite things to do in each town!

Bailey's Harbor

Bailey's Harbor is the home to both the church and wedding reception venue! It is a small town located on the coast of Lake Michigan. Home to great food and drink such as <a href="https://www.doorcountybrewingco.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Door County Brewing Co</a>, <a href="https://chivesdoorcounty.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">CHIVE</a>, and <a href="https://harborfishmarket-grille.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Harbor Fish Market</a>. It is also a quick drive to <a href="https://www.co.door.wi.gov/554/Cave-Point-County-Park" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cave Point County Park</a>, which has, in our opinion, the most stunning landscapes in Door County.

Egg Harbor 

Martha worked in Egg Harbor the summer that Michael &amp; Martha began dating. She worked at <a href="https://www.greens-n-grains.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Greens N Grains</a> a great spot to grab some healthy groceries or a sandwich and a smoothie. <a href="https://www.onebarrelbrewing.com/locations/egg-harbor-taproom" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">One Barrell</a> was Martha's favorite spot for a Cherry Beer and some Pizza. The <a href="https://eggharbormarina.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Egg Harbor Marina</a> probably has the most beautiful sunsets in the whole peninsula!

Sister Bay

Sister Bay features a variety of dining, shopping, lodging, and natural beauty, all within walking distance. For higher end dining, <a href="https://www.chopdoorcounty.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">CHOP</a> is an excellent option, specializing in fresh seafood. For a more casual option, grab a slice of pizza at <a href="https://wildtomatopizza.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Wild Tomato Pizza Co.</a> For a unique dining experience, be sure to check out <a href="https://aljohnsons.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Al Johnson's</a>, a Swedish eatery known to have goats grazing the restaurant roof!

Washington Island

For a unique excursion, we encourage taking the <a href="https://wisferry.com/washington-island/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ferry</a> from Door County to Washington Island! This beautiful island offers a unique, secluded town with lots to explore. Our recommendation for the best way to explore is through renting bicycles with <a href="https://www.dorcrosinn.com/Island-Rides" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Dor Cros Inn bike rentals</a>. Cars may be transported on the ferry as well if you prefer. Some highlights include <a href="https://fragrantisle.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Fragrant Isle Lavender Farm</a>, <a href="https://www.jacksonharborsoup.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Jackson Harbor Soup</a>, and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/nelsenshallandbittersclub/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Nelsen's Hall and Bitters Club</a>.

Ephraim

Another lovely Door County town on the water with even more dining and entertainment options. To commemorate the wedding weekend, make sure to swing by the <a href="https://www.doorcounty.com/business-directory/recreation/anderson-dock" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Anderson Dock</a> to add your name to the large collection. Ephraim offers a variety of dining options, with our favorite being <a href="https://www.princeofpierogi.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Price of Pierogi</a>. The best way to cap off the night is by enjoying a nice game of mini golf at the <a href="https://my-site-redputter.square.site/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Red Putter</a>.

Fish Creek

Our favorite things in Fish Creek are exploring <a href="https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/peninsula" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Peninsula State Park</a> and and ice cream at <a href="https://www.notlickedyet.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Not Licked Yet</a>.
