Our Wedding

Myrtle Beach, where it all began! A tale as old as time, boy meets girl at a bar, and the rest is history! In June of 2023, Rex was on a bachelor trip, and Mary Kate was on a girls graduation trip, where they met at RipTydz Bar in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. An exchange of phone numbers, followed by Mary Kate and her OT girls teaching the boys how to play Flip Cup, and a spark ignited! Rex will forever be in debt to his cousin David for dragging him over in a headlock to sit beside Mary Kate!After a month and a half of daily 4-hour FaceTime calls, Mary Kate finally made the trip up to New Rochelle for a real first date. It was then that Rex saw a red flag...she cut her spaghetti! Rex refuses to let her live this down! For the next year and a half, the monthly trips back and forth from PA and NY began as their love flourished.In February of 2024, Mary Kate made the move up to NY where they moved into a new apartment in White Plains, where they currently reside. Rex continues to work as a physical education teacher in the Bronx and Mary Kate as an Occupational Therapist at a senior living community in Purchase, NY.On their summer vacation, Rex popped the question on July 15 at Lobsterville Beach in Martha's Vineyard, marking their 2-year anniversary as a couple and the start of forever!Rex and Mary Kate love traveling to new places, playing golf and pickleball, cooking (Mary Kate), eating (Rex), and spending time with family.We look forward to celebrating our special day with each and every one of you!

Will there be transportation to and from the reception? Yes! There will be a shuttle leaving from the Springhill Suites Marriot promptly at 4:00After the reception an early shuttle with leave the reception at 9:00 and the last shuttle leaving at 11:00

What hotel should I stay at? We have reserved a block of rooms at the Springhill Suites Marriot. Information will be linked to reserve your room. You will have up until 30 days prior to check in date to reserve your room at the discounted rate. Shuttle buses will only pick up and drop off from this location.

What should I wear? The attire is garden formal, dancing shoes REQUIRED!

Will there be an open bar? Yes! We ask our guests to drink responsibly and make use of the shuttle buses provided to and from hotel. Last call at reception venue is 9:30.

Transportation will be provided to the reception from the hotel listed above. Shuttle will depart hotel after ceremony at 4:00. Early shuttle leaving reception at 9:00 and later shuttle leaving reception at 11:00
