What time should I arrive for the wedding?
The Nuptial Mass will begin at 2:00 p.m. We recommend that you arrive 15-30 minutes early to have time to park and take your seat.
What is the dress code?
Our wedding will take place during Mass, so please wear your Sunday best. No jeans or flip flops, please. Men should wear collared shirts. Wear whatever color you would like (except white).
Are the venues accessible for persons with disabilities?
Absolutely! At the church, people with mobility challenges can be dropped off at the front door to limit the need to walk. There are no steps into the church and the reception venue has a ramp available.
Is parking available?
There is plentiful free parking at both the church and the reception venue.
Can I bring my kids?
We have invited a limited number of children -- mostly local -- to the wedding. Because we are literally at the limit of what the reception venue can hold, we cannot add more people.
Can I bring a plus one?
If a plus one is listed on your invitation, yes! If not, we're afraid not. We are literally at the maximum fire occupancy for the reception venue and we may not add more people.
How can I RSVP? When should I RSVP?
We plan to send the invitations out in late February/early March 2025. There will be a QR code on the back that will allow you to RSVP online by May 1, 2025.
What will the weather be like?
It's DC, so hot and humid is always a good bet. Bring an umbrella because rain is always possible. The venues are air-conditioned, so a wrap may be helpful if you get cold easily.
Can I take pictures?
During the wedding ceremony, we ask that you only take pictures from your pew. Please do not walk around the church.
Why isn't there a registry link?
We have everything we need and most things we want. Your loving support is all we can ask for. If you want to do something more, please just do something that puts a little extra love into the world
What if we can't come?
We will miss you, but we understand that life is complicated. The wedding Mass will be livestreamed. We will post the link here once we have it.
I'm priest/deacon. Can I concelebrate/serve?
Please reach out to Mary so that she can make arrangements with the archdiocese. Please bring an alb and white stole. Bishops will preside in choir.
