Our Wedding

We first became friends when we met in 2017, working at camp.

Becoming friends 

In 2018, working together at camp again, we bonded over theology and shared past experiences, and quickly became very close friends.

Becoming closer 

In a shocking turn of events, we stopped being friends for a year and a half and thought we would never see each other again.

Falling out 

In an even more shocking turn of events, we reconciled in a pandemic, again working at camp together. After camp ended in early September, Mason told me he liked me

Summer 2021

September 7,2021 we got engaged at Mary’s peak, where we shared a special moment a year before after our first week of dating in person :,)

Engagement 

Three days after we were engaged, I got a tattoo of the Hebrew word Eliashib, which means God restores. It was inspired by the evident hand of God in our relationship through the years and how we were restored to each other, and how this is a promise of our future perfect restoration in heaven. 1 Peter 5:10 ,2 Corinthians 5:18

Claire and Sophie have been friends since 6th grade. Claire was the person who invited Sophie to camp, and they’ve been close ever since!

Emma and Sophie have been friends since 7th grade. Emma goes on family beach trips and is basically a sister!

Erica and Sophie have been close friends since senior year of high school, when they bonded at Disney World and then over a love of journaling.

Kaylene and Sophie have been friends since 7th grade, and got close through doing the musicals together in high school .

Jess was one of Sophie’s first friends after moving schools in 7th grade, and they are still close now! Jess and Sophie went to Sri Lanka together and shared many sweet moments in high school

Shelby is Sophie’s sister. While they are very different, they have never fought and remain close now. <3

Crawford is Mason’s close friend and colleague. They serve together on the Liberty Younglife team.

Henry is one of Mason’s best friends. They share a bond with their mutual love of theology and call to pastoral ministry.

Henry has been one of Mason’s closest friends since he told him that he needed different friends in 8th grade. They both share a deep love of niche music, pop culture, and running.

Henry Long

Jackson is one of the funniest people on the planet. He and Mason were both deeply involved in Young Life and Mason has accompanied him on more than one beach vacation. Ladies, he’s single.

Graham was Mason’s first friend and roommate for 13 years. Growing up together was filled with conflict but in the end they’re better off for it. People still talk about their Lego towers to this day.

Jeremiah is Sophie’s brother and Mason’s former camper. He’s taller than Mason will ever be. They both like anime

Jeremiah Bennett

Clay is one of one of the most caring people of all time. He and Mason spent many nights talking music and sports in Mauldin Hall, as well as many Sundays together at Church. He’s really funny too.

Joe and Mason have probably created enough 2k franchises to make their own league. He’s the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet and loves snow. His basketball archetype is Dennis Rodman with a jump shot.

Joe Brooks

It was move at first sight when Mason met with Conner at Moe’s one fateful summer night. They became roommates freshman year at Clemson and never looked back. Conner is one of the sweetest boys around and loves the Colts. He and Mason were the perfect messy roommate duo.

Olivia is sister to the groom and is very special to him! Sophie looks forward to getting to know Olivia throughout the years and is so excited for her to be a part of this day!

Anna was one of the first people Sophie connected with in college and is one of the biggest blessings from Sophie’s time at OSU! Anna discipled Sophie for the past three years and has become a dear friend

Elena was Sophie’s first college friend! The two have lived together for two years now and share many of the same interests. They bonded over painting nights and pondering the meaning of existence!
