Matt and Jordan's love story began back in 2017 when they were both leaving an ultimate frisbee tournament at Eastern University (playing on different teams). Little did they know, they both recently purchased the same Honda Civic Hatchback model. When Matt was pulling out of the parking lot, Jordan swore that Matt was stealing her car... until she realized that it was just a cute guy driving off in his own car. A few words and a laugh were exchanged, but that was the extent of their meet-cute.
While the car stealing attempt didn't spark the love ignition at the time, the cylinders fired back up in the fall of 2019 when they both happened to be playing in the same Central PA ultimate frisbee league and, once again, walking out at the same time to the parking lot. A bonding over fantasy football ended up with Matt officially asking Jordan out on a date, however, she was seeing someone at the time so it didn't amount to anything... yet.
The road to love finally opened up in April of 2020, right when the Covid lockdowns were in full swing. With Jordan's previous relationship officially sent to the junk yard, she took Matt up on his date offer with a Covid-friendly walk around the neighborhood and hours of drinking beer and talking outside on the patio.
After 2.5 years of adventures to Maine, California, and many places in between, Matt asked Jordan to marry him in the only appropriate way: stealing her car while she was leaving for work.
