Seven year old Brigitte and Matt became classmates while attending Hebrew School at Shomrei Torah. They exchanged glances between reciting prayers and eating matzah. A budding romance was born.

Brigitte and Matt started dating. They were each other's first boyfriend and girlfriend. The two went on their first date to pizza and the Fred Clause movie at Preakness Shopping Center. Unfortunately, the relationship was short lived. Brigitte broke up with Matt because she couldn't find him a Valentine's day gift from Five Below. Matt was left feeling heartbroken.

Although broken up, Brigitte and Matt were still crushing on each other. The two were cross town lovers, and it was only a matter of time until they got back together.

Brigitte and Matt got back together and dated until they both left for college. During this time they were each other's date to junior formal and senior prom.

At the end of summer before leaving for college Brigitte and Matt mutually decided to break up. Brigitte was off to Binghamton University in upstate New York and Matt was off to Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Luckily, it was a good breakup. Brigitte and Matt stayed in touch and visited each other often throughout college.

Brigitte was looking to go on a Europe trip after graduation and asked Matt if he wanted to join. The two had the best month exploring Greece and Italy together.

Brigitte and Matt came back to America boyfriend and girlfriend - for the third and final time. The two started their relationship doing long distance with Brigitte working full time in NYC and Matt in law school in Washington D.C.

Brigitte and Matt got their first taste of being roommates when Matt did a semester of law school in NYC. The two lived in Williamsburg, which is where they adopted their first cat, Billie.

The two started living together earlier than expected when Covid sent Matt home from law school to finish his last semester remote. Little did they know, they would live together to this day.

Brigitte and Matt bought their first home together in Hoboken, New Jersey and have been living there happily ever after since. Hudson, their second cat, soon after joined the family.

2 cats, 2 houses, 11 national parks, 8 countries, and 19 years of knowing each other later; Matt pulled off a beautiful proposal. Brigitte and Matt had a ski vacation planned with the Marks family in Jackson Hole. Matt arranged to propose on a scenic drive in Grand Teton with a private dinner to follow. Brigitte was surprised to see her family flew out to Wyoming to join in the engagement celebrations and the rest of the vacation.
