FLYING
Our ceremony and reception are being held at Wild Sky Ranch, just outside of Index, WA, about a 1.5 hour drive from the SeaTac airport (SEA) and about a 1 hour drive from Paine Field airport (PAE) in Everett. SEA is the bigger airport and all major airlines fly in and out, but PAE is less crowded (quick security lines!) and offers flights with Alaska Airlines and United.
DRIVING
The quickest and easiest way to get to our venue is by driving. Car rental companies are charging exorbitant prices for rentals lately, so we suggest two alternate options for anyone who doesn't want to rent a car. One option is Turo (similar to AirBnB, but for cars instead of homes); you can rent anything from a Honda Civic to a Range Rover, with some cars being as little as $28/day. A second option is to share a ride with someone else who is coming to our wedding. We made a spreadsheet where anyone can plug in their contact info and try to link together with other guests to share a ride. If you've already rented a car and have an extra seat or two, or if you haven't rented one yet and want to save some money, plug in your information and get a hold of each other. Don't forget to delete your information from here once your arrangements have been made. We won't hold your hand through this process, but let us know if you have any questions we can help with.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
For those looking to save some money and be a bit more adventurous it is possible to link together public transit to get as close as the town of Gold Bar (a ~10-15 minute drive from Index) from which you could schedule a taxi, get an Uber or Lyft, call a fellow guest to come pick you up, or try to hitch a ride with a stranger.
For those seeking to spice up their lives with a little danger, the train runs right through town, and while the closest stations are an hour+ away, that never stopped the adventurous from finding a soft place to jump (Please note that train hopping is illegal and dangerous).
There are many AirBnB options nearby. To stay relatively nearby, we recommend limiting your search to be between the towns of Sultan and Skykomish. There are a handful of small towns along Hwy 2: Sultan, Startup, Gold Bar, Index, Baring, and Skykomish are all within a 20-30 minute drive.
Monroe is the closest big town/small city and the location of the closest commercial hotels. The Best Western and Evergreen Inn are the two main hotels in Monroe. They are a bit further away, but they do have pools! If you stay here, we recommend giving yourself an hour to get to the venue on Saturday. Google Maps will tell you it is closer than that, but Hwy 2 is a two-lane highway and regularly gets slow traffic near Monroe on the weekends. We don't want you to be late and be embarrassed as everyone looks at you walking up midway through the ceremony.

The Bush House is a historic hotel and restaurant that was originally opened in 1898. It has been undergoing restorations over the last several years and is scheduled to re-open soon with 10 double occupancy rooms. (If you choose to stay here, keep in mind that they have been behind schedule for several years on restorations to re-open and may not be ready for guests in time for our wedding. It could be a good idea to reserve a room at another hotel as a back-up in case the Bush House isn't ready in time.)
For anyone interested, you are welcome to camp on the property for the weekend. BYOT (tent, trailer, truck, or tricked out van). Please make sure to give yourself enough time to set up your camping zone before the ceremony starts.
If you're interested in this, reach out to us and we'll get you lined up.
