Matthew and Katherine met in March 2019 in a graduate school course at UIW. Matt had known who Kat was since she arrived to UIW as a freshman in 2015, but it wasn't until her senior year that their paths had finally crossed.

Katherine struck up a conversation with Matthew in class and they quickly become friends. The two would study together for class and go on coffee dates. They enjoyed each other's company and realized they wanted to be more than just classmates and decided to make things official April 27, 2020.

Their dating era was blissful and they both felt that there was no one else out there for them. Matthew surprised Katherine with a beautiful proposal on November 5, 2022.

The bride and groom have been taking steps through their parish to prepare for the sacrament of marriage and cannot wait to build a faith-based future and life together.
