Matt and Sarah have a love story that could rival any Hallmark movie. The first time they crossed paths was unremarkable; Matt thought Sarah was unapproachable, and Sarah felt that Matt was too timid. They both met a little over 7 years ago at one of Sarah's family's Fourth of July celebrations. Matt had been the long-time best friend of Sarah's sister's now husband, Adam. It has often been joked that Matt has attended more of the Bryan family events over the past 10 years than Sarah.
Four years passed before fate realigned their paths. This time, when their eyes met over a White Russian cocktail, at Anne & Adam’s engagement party, a spark flickered. They talked frequently over the next few weeks, and a friendship was founded.
Eventually, Sarah moved to Oregon to work for the same company as Matt. Working together, in an office in the forest, their romance blossomed. Each day, during lunch, they went for a walk through the woods, talking about everything under the sun! What was a growing friendship quickly turned into a foundational romance. Not long into their romance, they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.
After two and a half joyful years of dating, Matt bought a beautiful art-deco engagement ring and planned for the perfect moment to propose. The EPIC moment came during their trip to New Zealand. As they soared to the top of the Franz Josef & Fox glaciers in a helicopter, Sarah had no idea what was about to happen.
Amidst the stunning backdrop of the glacier, Matt dropped to one knee. With eyes filled with eagerness, he professed his love for Sarah, promising to cherish her through every curveball that life would offer. In that majestic setting, surrounded by the raw beauty of nature, he presented the one ring that sparkled like the glacier under the sun.
Overwhelmed with joy and overcome by the sheer magnificence of the moment, Sarah nodded, tears of joy glistening in her eyes. The glacier stood witness to a love that had transcended boundaries—city streets and country trails—finding its anchor in the quiet magnificence of the world around them.
As they flew back, holding hands, they felt a sense of completeness, knowing that amidst the tranquil woods of Oregon or the vast glaciers of New Zealand, they had found their true home—in the presence of the person they loved.
