Two Matches for the Price of One!

The meet-cute story of Matthew and Michael will vary depending on who you ask. First, it should be acknowledged that this millennial couple did, in fact, meet on a dating app. Thank you, Hinge! According to Matthew, after chatting with Michael and generously handing over his cell phone number, which, for the record, he says went untexted, he found himself re-matching with Michael months later, wondering, "Is this the one that got away?" According to Michael, Matthew left him on read, but after Michael took a much needed break from the app and made his triumphant return, fate stepped in and they matched again. What both of their stories agree on is that once they re-matched, it still took another staggering several weeks to actually meet in person. Between work interruptions, Matthew forgetting he had a date (classic), a trip back home to California causing a handful of reschedules, Matthew and Michael finally, officially met in person for their first date on May 9th at Ammazzacaffè in Brooklyn. What felt like only a few minutes turned into hours. They closed the restaurant as the last guests left. That night sparked something neither of them could quite explain: a partnership built on laughter, deep conversation, and a love that only grew. Through adventures big and small, they built a life together rooted in joy, support, understanding and an unshakeable sense of home in one another. And on their wedding day, surrounded by everyone (you!) who loves them, they are celebrating exactly that.
