We first met back in 2022 in Stellenbosch, when one of our mutual friends held a get-together for all her Namibian friends. After that we had no notable interactions for about two years. Zani returned to Windhoek at the beginning of 2024, expecting to stay only for a few months, however, God had other plans. We met again at our church Crowded House where Matthias had slotted in upon his return to Windhoek in 2023. We mostly kept our distance from each other, until Matthias went on an outreach to SA and the Lord told him distinctly in a worship session that Zani is his wife and that he could pursue her (after about a month of him starting to like her). When Matthias came back from the outreach, we started spending more time together and got to know each other better. Two months later we started dating and two and a half months later Matthias asked the BIG question and we got engaged!

We are so excited about the journey we have been on so far and look forward to all that the Lord still has in store for us and doing life together!
