She stays in Wellington, SA and is a qualified ballet teacher running her own ballet school, as well as hair stylist and makeup artist (much to the delight of the bride) being a perfect outlet for her creativity and producing beauty.

They stay in Windhoek and run a guesthouse (Hause Schwerinsburg). Sakkie is also a development manager for different projects. They both love farm life and still bread with Quarter Horses. They love to dream togeteher, and there is never a dull moment with the van der Merwe family with four ladies and the head of the house, Sakkie managing them all.

They farm on Dannenberg with a mix of Brahman and Simmentaler cattle. Having recently finished building their house in Swakopmund, they enjoy alternating between the farm and Swakopmund, with occasional visits to Windhoek when Wolfram's work (a printing press - WordPress) demands it.
