It all began back in 5th grade at St. Mel Catholic School, where two kids first crossed paths without knowing just how much their lives would intertwine. On December 21, 2015, Max worked up the courage to ask Maya out (over text, of course) and from that day forward, their journey together began.

Though high school took them in different directions, Bella Vista for Max and St. Francis for Maya, their love only grew stronger.

In 2021, life led them to new adventures at different colleges: Max to Cal Poly SLO and Maya to San Diego State. Despite the miles between them, they knew their love was worth every effort, choosing long distance so they could continue building a future together. From countless visits and late-night calls, they always found their way back to each other.

Then, on September 20, 2025, Max asked Maya the easiest question she’s ever answered: Will you marry me?

Their love has grown through every season of life, and now they look forward to a lifetime of love, laughter, and home in each other.
