Arthur and McKenna met while they were both attending Chico State in 2016. McKenna had just joined a sorority (Alpha Omicron Pi) and been paired with her big sister, Kortney. Kortney was dating her then-boyfriend (now husband) Clarke, who was roommates with Arthur since freshman year. McKenna and Arthur would see each other in passing but never really hung out or spent time together. This all changed the last week of 2016...

McKenna, Arthur, and a big group of their college friends decided to go to Snowglobe music festival in Lake Tahoe for New Year's, 2017. Arthur had always had his eye on McKenna (McKenna was completely oblivious) and saw this as his opportunity to make his move. We finally made it to the festival and had an amazing time. Arthur was so sweet, zipping up McKenna's jacket MANY times during the night because she didn't want to take her gloves off. On the last night of the festival, on New Year's Eve at midnight, McKenna and Arthur rang in 2017 with their first kiss...

After the festival and throughout college, Arthur and McKenna bonded over their shared love of music and attended many festivals and concerts. McKenna, being Arthur's number one fan, would go to all of his shows and parties that he DJed at. After they both graduated in 2019, they moved to Folsom, where McKenna worked as a preschool teacher and Arthur works as an iOS developer. They bought their own home in Rancho Cordova in 2021 where they currently live with their cats named Gracie, Finley, and Ella.

Arthur proposed to McKenna on December 29th, 2020. McKenna came home to candles and confetti leading up the stairs to their bedroom, where Arthur was waiting in a suit and tie with a beautiful engagement ring. She said yes about a hundred times, ugly cried, and started planning the wedding 2 hours later!
