McKenzie and Kyle went to UW Madison, where they lived on the same floor at Bradley residence hall. They met the very first night of college playing ping-pong against each other at the 3rd floor meet-and-greet. Kyle proved he could stand up to McKenzie's sarcasm and give it right back... and the spark was ignited! From that night on, they were so inseparable that their friends started referring to them together as "KK" for Kenzie and Kyle.

The next four years, McKenzie and Kyle created wonderful memories in Madison, completing their degrees in Kinesiology and Electrical Engineering, respectively.

On a trip visiting Madison for McKenzie's birthday, Kyle and all of KK's college friends planned a walk along the Lakeshore Path. Kyle completely surprised McKenzie by stopping in front of the building where they met and getting down on one knee.
