We first met on our study abroad trip in Galway, Ireland...

After our study abroad trip, McKenzie returned to college at the University of Oregon, and I returned to Phoenix after graduating from ASU. During this time, we would visit each other at least once a month.

McKenzie was visiting me in Phoenix during March of 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic began. McKenzie's flight was cancelled, and she decided to stay in Phoenix for "two weeks" (spoiler alert: this turned out to be a lot longer). This is a photo of us having a "date" in my bedroom.

That short trip soon became a permanent move, and we moved into our first apartment together in Phoenix during the Fall of 2020!

We went back to Galway where we first met, and went to one of McKenzie's favorite places for her birthday, the Aran Islands.

Took home our first pet together, our beautiful Bengal Cat named Nala. She now has a buddy, our cat named Calvin.

Took a trip to Manchester, one of our favorite cities. Glory, glory...

Turns out we really enjoyed each other...

So I proposed!
