What are the accommodation options for the wedding?
We have arranged a room block at the Thompson Hotel, which is available until it is fully booked. We encourage you to make your reservations early as we will not be extending the room block. Additionally, we recommend other nearby hotels that offer good rates. Please check our “Accommodations” tab for more details on alternative hotel options.
What are the parking arrangements at the venue?
There is limited parking available at the venue. If you plan to drive, we recommend prepaying for your parking spot to guarantee availability. Please let us know by May 10th if you intend to use the venue parking. The cost is approximately $30.
Is there an alternative to driving to the venue?
Given the limited parking and the convenience of not having to drive, we recommend using rideshare services like Uber for transportation to and from the venue. Everything you need is centrally located, making this a practical and hassle-free option.
What time should guests arrive at the venue on the wedding day?
Guests can arrive at the venue starting at 5:30 PM. We will host a brief wine reception to welcome everyone before the ceremony begins. The wedding ceremony starts promptly at 6:00 PM, and we kindly ask that all guests be seated by then. Late arrivals may need to wait until the ceremony concludes to enter.
Will guests be able to take photos and videos of the wedding?
Our wedding ceremony is an unplugged event. Please refrain from using cell phones, cameras, or video cameras during the ceremony. We want to ensure the solemnity of the moment is preserved. However, there will be a chance to take photos at the conclusion of the ceremony, and of course, during the reception.
What should I wear to the wedding?
The attire for our wedding is formal (black tie optional). We encourage black tie attire, but formal wear is also acceptable. Please note, all guests are requested to wear black to maintain a uniform and elegant look for our special day.
Black Tie: Typically includes a tuxedo with a black bow tie, white dress shirt, and optional cummerbund or waistcoat.
Formal: Generally involves a dark suit and tie for men and an evening gown or sophisticated cocktail dress for women.
Are children allowed to attend the wedding?
We appreciate your understanding as we inform you that our wedding is an adult-only event. To ensure the ambiance and the requirements of our chosen venue, we are unable to accommodate guests under the age of 25 (with the exception of the brother of the groom).
We look forward to celebrating with our younger family members at future gatherings.
How strict is the policy regarding invitation-only attendance?
Our invitation-only policy for the wedding is very strict. Each guest has been thoughtfully considered, and due to venue capacity and the nature of our event, we can only accommodate those specifically named on the invitations.
There will be a check-in process at the venue, and only guests whose names are on the list will be granted entry. This is to ensure that our special day proceeds as planned and is enjoyable for all confirmed attendees. If you have any concerns or questions about this policy, please feel free to reach out to the bride directly.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding!
