We started out as long-distance internet friends and then, on a Skype call in the wee hours of February 2, 2015, we awkwardly asked each other if we wanted to start dating. The next near-decade had a lot of incredible adventures, as well as challenging setbacks.

But everything we've faced, we've faced together. We've always been best friends.

We went from being apart for a long time to living together. We got three entire cats. Theo completely changed genders in the middle of all this. We've learned that we're each other's best traveling companion, across the country and across oceans.

And we wouldn't have it any other way.
