Our Wedding

We met on twitter!!&nbsp;

At the time, he had a very prominent music blog. He was very opinionated on his Twitter account, and I had strong opinions of my own -- we didn't initially get along.&nbsp;Slowly but surely, over weeks, we began to understand and respect each other a little bit more. Eventually, we started talking via direct message and hit it off!

I was in a horrible job on Wall Street at the time, and decided I needed a change. After weeks of FaceTime dates, our first in-person meeting was at the airport, and our first kiss was that night on the beach under the stars.&nbsp;

How We Met

I was totally surprised. We were walking along the beach, in a very similar spot to where we had our first kiss, when he tripped on a rock. A strange package was revealed underneath. It was a small, rectangular mass of twine and brown canvas. On the top, written in black marker, was a bible verse-- Psalm 143:8. He went to look it up on his phone while he handed the package to me to examine. Naturally, I started curiously unwrapping it. I wondered what stranger had placed this here and what they wanted us to find. Then, he read the verse:"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,for I have put my trust in you.Show me the way I should go,for to you I entrust my life."









He finished just as I had finished unwrapping the package, and inside was a small wooden box. The rest was a blur, but he got down on one knee and of course I said YES!! It was only afterwards, in the chorus of applause from everyone on the beach, that I noticed the camera crew strategically placed along our entire walk. I figured there was some South Beach-style photoshoot going on, but only then did I realize that the cameras were pointed at us the entire time!&nbsp;

In an effort to provide convenience for out of town guests&nbsp;and due to travel restrictions for the bride and groom, they respectfully request that you refrain from giving boxed gifts.&nbsp;Accordingly, there is no wedding registry.&nbsp;

There will be a secure vessel for envelopes and similarly-sized congratulatory stationary at the reception. For any questions, contact the Father of the Bride.&nbsp;

If you are traveling locally, we recommend driving your own vehicle or using Uber/Lyft&nbsp;to the ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, which will take place at 2:30pm, as well as to the reception, which will take place at 6:00pm.&nbsp;

Appropriate parking is available at the Church in adjacent parking lot as well as surrounding streets.

At the reception venue, Russo's On the Bay, valet parking is available for your convenience.&nbsp;

Tri-State Area (NY/NJ/CT)

There are a variety of other accommodations available in the surrounding area if you prefer or if no more rooms are available at the host hotel.&nbsp;





If you are flying, we recommend flying into JFK Airport (JFK) if you plan to stay on Long Island or near the reception venue in Queens. If you are staying in Manhattan,&nbsp;&nbsp;LaGuardia (LGA) is the closer airport. Both the wedding ceremony and reception are in extremely close proximity to JFK Airport (within 15-20minute drive).





You may rent a car, if you wish, as parking is available at both locations. For your convenience, we recommend using rideshare or taxi service as there will be an abundance of both available in the area.&nbsp;

Out-of-town guests are also welcome to attend our rehearsal dinner on the evening of Friday, June 28th. Details are forthcoming.&nbsp;
