We met on twitter!!

At the time, he had a very prominent music blog. He was very opinionated on his Twitter account, and I had strong opinions of my own -- we didn't initially get along. Slowly but surely, over weeks, we began to understand and respect each other a little bit more. Eventually, we started talking via direct message and hit it off!

I was in a horrible job on Wall Street at the time, and decided I needed a change. After weeks of FaceTime dates, our first in-person meeting was at the airport, and our first kiss was that night on the beach under the stars.

I was totally surprised. We were walking along the beach, in a very similar spot to where we had our first kiss, when he tripped on a rock. A strange package was revealed underneath. It was a small, rectangular mass of twine and brown canvas. On the top, written in black marker, was a bible verse-- Psalm 143:8. He went to look it up on his phone while he handed the package to me to examine. Naturally, I started curiously unwrapping it. I wondered what stranger had placed this here and what they wanted us to find. Then, he read the verse:

"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,

for I have put my trust in you.

Show me the way I should go,

for to you I entrust my life."

He finished just as I had finished unwrapping the package, and inside was a small wooden box. The rest was a blur, but he got down on one knee and of course I said YES!! It was only afterwards, in the chorus of applause from everyone on the beach, that I noticed the camera crew strategically placed along our entire walk. I figured there was some South Beach-style photoshoot going on, but only then did I realize that the cameras were pointed at us the entire time!
