Thank you for being part of our wedding celebration. Your presence means the world to us, and we’re thrilled to share this special moment with you.
Is there anything I need to do before traveling to Barcelona?
In 2027, in addition to having a valid passport (expiration a minimum of six months past travel date), you'll need to complete the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS), a mandatory pre-travel authorization for US citizens. For more information, go to https://travel-europe.europa.eu/en/etias.
Will I have cell service in Barcelona?
Service abroad depends on your cellular plan. Please contact your provider to get the best options for your visit. We would also recommend downloading Whatsapp for easier, and often free, communication.
Can I bring a plus one?
Yes. We know how important it is to have your someone special with you, which is why we've planned for everyone to be able to bring a plus one.
What is the dress code for the wedding?
We love seeing our family and friends dressed up, so we're requesting formal/black tie optional attire. Please note that the ceremony will take place on gravel, so choose your shoes wisely.
Will Children be attending the wedding?
Yes! We are happy to include you and your little one(s) at our wedding. There is a pool on property, so we ask that you keep an eye one them at all times for their safety. The venue also offers babysitting services for a fee.
How do I RSVP?
We'd love to know if you'll be joining us as soon as possible in order to properly plan for our destination wedding. Please let us know if you will attend, or if you are not able to attend as soon as you are able. You can simply click the RSVP tab on the top menu and fill out the form as prompted.
When should I arrive at the venue?
We are arranging for a shuttle to transport our guests to La Baronia, approximately one hour north of Barcelona. The shuttle will pick-up our guests at the Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona and leave for the venue at 3:30 pm sharp. The shuttle will return to Barcelona at approximately midnight. Please be sure to RSVP for the shuttle so we make sure to save you a seat! If you would like to travel to La Baronia on your own, please arrive by 4:30 pm; the ceremony will begin promptly at 5 pm.
Where is the best parking?
If you travel to the venue on your own, rest assured La Baronia has ample on-site parking. The address is Ctra. de Mollet a Moià, km 23,800, 08182.
Will I be able to take pictures during the ceremony?
We are so excited that you'll be joining us, and we want you to relax and be fully present for our ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer who will capture every moment, and we'll make sure you see those photos right after we do! With this in mind, we are having an unplugged ceremony and ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and put your cell phones on silent. For the reception... go wild! And don't forget to share your pics with us.
Will the ceremony and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Weather permitting, the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing will take place outside. Spain's weather in May is typically beautiful and we're hoping that is the case. However, if the weather does not cooperate, we won't let a little rain dampen our spirits, but we will move the activities inside.
What should I do if I have specific dietary restrictions?
When you RSVP, there will be a prompt to tell us about any dietary restrictions. Our venue will be able to accommodate most dietary needs.
Will there be other wedding festivities to attend?
Yes - plenty, but completely optional!
We will be hosting a Welcome Reception in Barcelona on Thursday night at Almanac Barcelona.
If we're still standing after the wedding reception, we plan to keep the party going in Barcelona city center until early morning!
Recovery will take place on Barceloneta Beach the following day.
What hotel or lodging do you recommend?
We can't thank you enough for making the trip to Barcelona to celebrate with us. We have listed several hotels on the travel section of this site, and you can always take a look on Airbnb.com. If you don't see anything you like there, send us a text and we will try and assist. Barcelona is a beautiful city with plenty of options so you're bound to find something you like.
Is there a room block at a specific hotel?
No - we want our guests to feel free to chose lodging that works best for them. We have recommended hotels in the Plaça de Catalunya area as a central option.
What will the weather be like?
Barcelona's weather in May is usually beautiful. The highs are typically in the mid-70s and the lows are around 60 degrees. But like Florida, the weather can vary. Please make sure to check the weather a week ahead and plan accordingly.
Do you have any recommendations for local restaurants or points of interest while we're in Barcelona?
Yes! Please check out the "things to do" tab for fun activities and restaurant recommendations.
Do I need to rent a car?
That's completely your choice. Barcelona has an excellent metro system, bus system, and a tourist bus that can take you to most of the main attractions. On the wedding day, we have also arranged a shuttle to and from the venue. However, renting a car could be beneficial if you plan to explore areas outside of Barcelona.
What is the currency, and should I exchange money?
The currency in Barcelona is the Euro (€ or EUR). While most vendors will accept card payments, you may wish to carry some cash for small purchases, tips, or transportation. Use bank ATMs to withdraw Euros for the best rates and if a card machine asks if you want to pay in Euros or USD, always choose Euros to avoid higher exchange rates. Check with your own bank to understand what foreign transaction fees may apply.
What is the tipping culture in Barcelona?
Tipping in Barcelona is not mandatory or expected, as service staff are paid a regular wage, but leaving a small tip for great service is appreciated. Tipping at bars is not customary, but for casual meals, taxi rides, or hotel bag porters, rounding up or leaving €1-€2 is sufficient. For nicer restaurants, 5-10% is generous, but not expected. Cash is preferred.
Are there electrical converters/adapters needed?
To use US devices in Barcelona, you need a Type C or Type F plug adapter. Spain uses 230V/50Hz, whereas the US uses 120V/60Hz. While most electronics (phones, laptops) are dual-voltage and only need an adapter, high-power items (hair dryers, straighteners, steamers) require a voltage converter to avoid damage.
Are you using a gift registry service?
Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift! For those who have asked, we do have a registry. As we are traveling for our wedding, we kindly request that no boxed gifts or cards be brought to the venue.
I have additional questions, who should I contact?
Please do not hesitate to call or text either of us with any further questions!
