We have what I would call a typical love story, but it turned out to be anything but typical. We went to the same university with the same friends but our paths never really crossed, they seemed to always just miss each other. Alot of the same friends and parties, but always the wrong place at the wrong time. Well, two years into attending Stevenson, we eventually met. I was legit in workout gear, rosy-cheeked and with my hair tied up and totally unprepared for him to be the hottest guy I had ever seen. I don't recall if I just didn't believe my friends about how cute he was or if I was just trying to play it cool, but I instantly regretted what I was wearing. Anyways, that embarrassing time passed and so did about a year and a half when I was way caught up with ice hockey and Damien was just doing his thing with work and school... Flash forward to junior year at Stevenson, I had bright purple hair and it was Thursday (college night) at Bateman's and Damien was across the bar. I never saw him out, like ever. He was always off doing his own thing, which I totally admired. I could have peed myself when he came over to talk to me. The rest is history really....I spent two weeks trying really hard to pretend I wasn't super into him and then gave up on that concept. Thank god he didnt believe me....aaaand here we are. Still SO in love but no longer pretending its no big deal, because lets be honest, true love is a HUGE deal and were lucky to have found each other. Damien proposed to me in Puertos Los Cabos at the Secrets Resort in our swim-up pool. I could not have said yes any faster, and I truly am happy no pictures were taken at that time because we both ugly cried, hard. We are looking forward to celebrating our love with everybody we love in one of the places we love the most.
