Getting Here
The recommended airport is LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). It’s not super close to the venue, but it’s the most convenient major airport for out-of-town guests flying in.
Where to Stay
This is very important: do not stay downtown. We know it’s closest to the venue, and normally that would make sense, but trust us, don’t do it. It’s not the vibe.
Instead, we recommend picking an area of LA you’re excited to explore—Santa Monica, Culver City, West Hollywood, Silver Lake, the Westside, or even the hills—and staying there. Los Angeles is huge and full of amazing pockets, so choose a neighborhood you’ll enjoy spending time in.
We won’t be blocking off hotels because everyone’s ideal LA experience is different. Want the beach? Go west. Want cute cafés and boutiques? Try Silver Lake. Want to be near us? We’ll be coming from Inglewood the day of the wedding (about an hour drive on a Friday afternoon, for reference).
Need help deciding?
If you’re looking at a specific hotel or neighborhood and not sure if it’s a good idea, text us. Seriously. We’ll give you a quick thumbs up or down. It's totally fine to ask. If the bride feels like it's "too much" to answer questions, she will just tell you.
Getting Around
If you’re staying for several days, we recommend renting a car. LA is not known for its public transportation (we’re working on it), and it’s not quite like New York or Chicago in that regard.
The Night of the Wedding
Please Uber or Lyft to the venue. Yes, there’s a parking garage you can pay for. But no, you do not want to be driving through downtown LA traffic on a Friday night, especially if you’re not used to it.
Also, and most importantly, please don’t drink and drive. We want everyone to have fun, stay safe, and make it back to their hotel without stress. Let someone else do the driving. Celebrate, toast, dance your heart out, and leave the car behind.
The Venue
We are getting married at Carondelet House, a gorgeous historic venue in LA that we love. It’s beautiful, intimate, and full of character. We are so excited to celebrate there.
