Citylight Bennington church is where Megan and Vaughn met, work, and fell in love. Citylight Bennington has worship services at The Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm. It's also where Vaughn proposed to Megan and where the couple's wedding ceremony will be held!

Megan and Vaughn met in July 2020 after starting at Citylight Bennington. Vaughn came on staff early July from Flywheel, a growing tech company in town. After being called by the Lord and a conversation with the pastors, Vaughn faithfully decided to be the Student Ministry Director for Citylight Bennington.

Megan came from Seim Johnson, a public accounting firm in Omaha, working as a healthcare consultant. The pastors reached out to her at the perfect timing as they were looking for someone to run the show as the all-in-one Admin/HR/Finance Director for the church. After time in prayer with the Lord, Megan hopped on staff too.

September was a big month for Megan and Vaughn. That's when they had their first date and started to get to know each other more. From the get-go the couple were very intentional, open, and honest to each other. Everything started with their relationship with Jesus first. Prayer was (and is) huge for the foundation of the couple. They knew that if God was leading them to dating, it would lead to marriage, so they trusted in the plan that the Lord had for their relationship.

After a very important couple of months getting to know each other and discern God's will for the couple, Megan and Vaughn officially became a couple on October 21st. The next step was to spend more time with family, friends and most importantly the Lord, to see where He would take this relationship, but they knew they wanted to spend forever together.

After the last few months of dating, spending time with family/friends and most importantly praying and discerning God's will for the couple, He gave them tons of "green lights." Vaughn surprised Megan on January 10th, her 24th birthday, by proposing after Citylight Bennington's public launch at The Barn. The couple decided on May 14th for their wedding date!
