Megan and Andy were introduced through a mutual friend and had their first date on April 10th, 2010. When they first met, Andy was home on R&R during his tour in Iraq but the two spent every following day together before he had to return. They continued their long distance relationship through the deployment and that August, Megan was able to travel to North Carolina for his home-coming. They knew the long-distance relationship was going to be hard but it was also going to be worth it. They endured a lot of difficult circumstances and another tour to Afghanistan but the quick weekend visits helped to pass time time.

Fast forward several years later, Andy completed his time in the Army and was able to move back home, to Kansas City. Like every couple, they had their ups and downs, especially having never lived in the same city, but love prevailed and got them to where they are today.

In August 2017, they bought their first home together. They have enjoyed decorating and caring for it to make it a home for themselves, along with Megan's daughter, Callie.

On March 17th, 2018 (St. Patricks Day)... Megan, Andy and Callie went on a helicopter ride around downtown Kansas City. They must have had the luck of the Irish with them, because when Andy pulled a ring out of his pocket, Megan screamed with excitement. And Luckily... she said yes!

The two set their wedding date for September 15, 2018 and they will live Happily Ever After... Finally!
