What is the closest airport to Lynchburg, VA/the venue?

Lynchburg Regional Airport (LYH) is 7.7 miles from the hotel block. This airport only utilizes American Airlines. The only direct flights are from Charlotte International Airport (CLT). --- Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA) is about 59 miles or 1 hour and 15 minutes from the venue. This airport services American Airlines, Allegiant, Delta, and United with nonstop flights to/from Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago (O'Hare), NYC (LaGuardia), Orland-Sanford, Philadelphia, St. Petersburg/Clearwater, and Washington D.C./Dulles. --- Charlotte International Airport (CLT) is about a 3.5 hour drive to Lynchburg. --- Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is about a 2 hour and 45 minute drive to Lynchburg. --- Greensboro Regional Airport (GSO) is about a 2 hours drive to Lynchburg. ---

How will we get to the venue?

Transportation is provided! We will have 1, 27+ passenger, air-conditioned charter bus shuttling guests up from the Craddock Terry Hotel and 2, 50+ passenger charter buses shuttling guests from the The Virginian in downtown Lynchburg and transporting them to the venue. The bus will depart from the Craddock Terry Hotel at 3:45pm. The other buses will depart from The Virginian Hotel at 3:40pm and 3:50pm. Please do not be late and be sure to be at the Craddock Terry Hotel or The Virginian Hotel by 3:30pm if you are planning to take the shuttle to the venue! Additionally, the charter buses will take guests back into town from the venue at staggered times, starting around 9pm. IMPORTANT: If you are not staying in the hotel blocks and are staying at an AirBnB or The Lynchburg Grand, please take the shuttles departing from The Virginian Hotel as they have the bigger shuttles and can carry more passengers! To note: the commute from downtown Lynchburg to the venue is about 30-35 minutes of drive time.

Can we drive ourselves to the venue?

Of course! There is parking at the venue. We simply ask that you have a designated driver if you plan to drink or you leave your vehicle at the venue (it will be safe there for the evening) and take the provided transportation back into town. We want our guests to be aware that the venue location is in the mountains, so the road becomes a bit curvy. It might be best to plan on utilizing the shuttle services so as not to have to navigate winding roads at night! If you do plan on driving, please be aware that the drive time from downtown Lynchburg to the venue is about 30-35 minutes, so plan accordingly to be sure you are there on time!

What is the dress code?

We are saying it is Black Tie Optional. This means that men can wear a tuxedo or a suit and tie. For women, floor-length evening gowns or a mid-length cocktail dress is also appropriate. At the end of the day, we aren't picky! We just want you there with us to celebrate- so wear whatever you feel confident and stylish in and come prepared to dance and party!

Where is the hotel room block?

We have a block of rooms at The Virginian Hotel and reservations must be made by April 22, 2025. Additionally, we have a room block at the Lynchburg Grand Hotel (a 4 minute walk to the Virginian Hotel where shuttles will pick guests up). Are we able to bring our kids to the wedding?

WE LOVE YOUR KIDS, but we want parents to be able to relax and have a fun weekend away. We kindly ask that you only bring yourselves and have a good time!

Can I bring a plus one?

If your invitation stated "& guest" you are allowed a plus one.

Talk to me about the bar/drinks:

We want to have a big, fun party with our best friends and family (you)!! We will have an open bar with select beers and wines, as well as three signature drinks available during cocktail hour. Consider bringing small bills to tip your bartender!

How can we be prepared for the weather? Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Both! If the weather is nice, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors overlooking the mountains! It tends to be warm in early June, but in the mountains it should cool off. It is a BEATUIFUL venue so come prepared to take lots of pictures with the ones you love! The reception is indoors with air-conditioning.
