For our guests who want a bit of an elevated getaway experience, The Virginian Hotel is a great option! The couple has a room block within The Virginian Hotel, just 0.5 miles away from The Craddock Terry Hotel. The Virginian Hotel is in downtown Lynchburg with a rooftop bar for guests to enjoy! Additionally, the bride and groom will be staying here for the weekend! In order to book within the room block and to get the discounted rate, reservations must be made by April 22, 2025. You can either use the below booking link (click "website") or call the hotel and provide the block code (CARNES).
Lynchburg Grand Hotel
A 0.6 mile walk from The Craddock Terry and only a 3 minute walk to The Virginian Hotel, this hotel block offers an affordable option for guests without compromising location! To reserve within this room block, you must call the hotel and let them know you want to reserve a room within the Megan Carroll/Phillip Neslund wedding block.
If you are taking the shuttle- you will need to be at The Virginian Hotel Lobby (a 4 minute walk) around 3:30-3:40pm as there will not be a shuttle picking up from this hotel.

Coming to the wedding with a group of friends? Using this weekend as a way to reunite and celebrate with old pals, college friends, or family? Consider booking a local house through AirBnB or VRBO! There are many options for groups of 4-8 people within the downtown area!

While we do not have a guest room block at this hotel, we want to inform our guests of this reasonably priced hotel, just out of downtown, and very near Liberty University's campus. This hotel is a great option for our guests that want a more reasonably priced hotel out of the heart of downtown!

Provided Wedding Shuttle Transportation
We will have a 2 charter buses to shuttle guests from The Virginian Hotel and 1 charter bus to shuttle guests from The Craddock Terry Hotel to the Venue and back at the end of the evening. Transportation will allow guests ease of getting to the venue for the ceremony, as well as getting home safely following the festivities! We kindly ask that you be on time for the departure of the shuttle to the venue so as not to delay our ceremony start time! The shuttles will depart from the Craddock Terry Hotel at 3:45pm and will depart from The Virginian Hotel at 3:40pm and 3:50pm. Please be sure to be at either hotel no later than 3:30pm to ensure the shuttle can leave on time. Additionally, the shuttles will take guests from the venue back to the hotels at the end of the night. The last shuttle will take guests to the afterparty at a bar downtown.
Rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc.)
We have been told that rideshares such as Uber will be available to take guests TO the venue for the ceremony, however, we were informed that Ubers typically stop being reliable after 10pm, so we recommend our guests use the provided shuttle to get back to their hotel. **If you are planning on taking an Uber/Lyft to the venue, please be aware that Lynchburg is not an incredibly urban area, meaning rideshares are not as readily available and your wait time for a car might be long. With the venue being 30-35 minutes away from downtown Lynchburg, please plan ample time when ordering your rideshare. Consider ordering your car around 4pm to be sure you will be on time for the 5pm ceremony start time.
