Our Wedding

Tall, pale, slender, quiet,&nbsp;and long brown hair. This could describe Megan or Zack in 2009, their freshman year of high school.&nbsp; Both joined the cross country team, and they sat next to each other in Honors Government. Zack very quickly developed a big ol'&nbsp;crush on the cute quiet girl, and Megan very quickly forgot he existed. Flash forward to the start of senior year of high school. Megan is no longer quiet, and Zack no longer has long hair. They had multiple classes together, and the seniors on the cross country team became much closer in general. They had group projects together in Honors Physics and Spanish 4. Megan realized that Zack was actually pretty funny, and Zack realized that someone way out of his league actually laughed at his jokes. As senior year went on, they started to become better friends and went to a few of the senior events together. Eventually Prom came around and Zack decided to get a little bold as ask Megan to go with him. For reasons still unknown today, she agreed and it was one of the best decisions Zack had ever made.&nbsp;

After winning a gift card to Bonefish at the After Prom Party, he&nbsp;cleverly parlayed that small victory into a date with Megan to get dinner there and then go see The Great Gatsby. I'll give you a second to let it simmer&nbsp;that&nbsp;Zack's brilliant idea was to take someone who hates seafood to a seafood restaurant on a first date.&nbsp; After several more dates and events, he one-upped his first great decision by&nbsp;asking Megan to be his girlfriend. Who knows what the heck he was thinking asking her out on his brother's birthday, May 24th, which only presented problems every single year trying to celebrate both his birthday and their anniversary.

How we Met

After a graduating and having a fun summer together, they made the gutsy decision to keep dating even though Megan was attending Salisbury University and Zack was attending University of Maryland, 2.5 hours away.&nbsp; However, they both loved visiting one another and spending weekends together at their different schools. They became close with each other's friend groups, Megan enjoyed going to sports games with Zack at UMD, and Zack enjoyed going to SU for the beach and of course Cookout (the best fast food).&nbsp; Every&nbsp;every winter and summer break was when they spent every day together and had the hardest goodbyes when going back to school. Year after year they made it work and fell more and more in love with each other.&nbsp;


Luckily&nbsp;after graduating from college in 2017, they both found jobs in the Baltimore area and&nbsp;moved back home where they were&nbsp;back to being 5 minutes away&nbsp;from one another.&nbsp; They continued to love&nbsp;cheering on UMD, the Ravens and the Orioles, camping, hiking, and traveling.&nbsp;They have enjoyed countless adventures&nbsp;together in&nbsp;Florida, Wyoming, Texas, the Bahamas, Iceland, and most recently&nbsp;Greece,&nbsp;where (as many of you already know),&nbsp;Zack topped that decision from 2013.&nbsp;

Growing Closer

Over several months, Zack carefully planned his proposal. He knew he wanted to do it in Greece, and he knew he wanted to have a ring made for her so that it was as unique and special as she was. He found a small father-son jewelers in Towson who he met with multiple times over the year to make sure the design was just right. He contacted a photographer in Santorini, Greece to plan the proposal and pick out a spot. The stars aligned, and on Friday, August 2nd 2019, Zack (with the help of Emmy) knelt down on a rooftop overlooking the water in Santorini and proposed. After 15 minutes of convincing, Megan said "sure, i guess". The rest is history.&nbsp;

Details

I met John&nbsp; on April 10th, 1995&nbsp;while volunteering at a local high-security women's&nbsp;prison where he was doing hard time for loitering. Since then I've been his personal hero and role-model, and have led him on trips to Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Rocky Mountain, and Black Canyon National Parks.&nbsp; Thanks to the teachings of myself and&nbsp;Dr. Steve Brule, he has become a pretty good person and we are very proud of him.&nbsp; No but he's my brother and he's a hunk.

John Tyszkiewicz

I met&nbsp;Emmy in middle school (in passing), but we&nbsp;truly&nbsp;became best friends in 9th grade after she made me&nbsp;join the swim team and we&nbsp;have been inseparable ever&nbsp;since. From&nbsp;our&nbsp;carpool adventures to &&nbsp;from&nbsp;swim practice, &nbsp;endless trips to Chili's, sleepovers&nbsp;in&nbsp;my basement,&nbsp;&nbsp;many adventures&nbsp;to the beach &&nbsp;Greece (twice),&nbsp; and&nbsp;our ability&nbsp;to relate everything in our life back to Friends or High School Musical it's no wonder we have remained best friends.&nbsp; Emmy even helped keep the biggest secret of all - the proposal&nbsp;(and took some pretty awesome pictures).&nbsp;&nbsp;

Emmy Tsomos

I met Abby the first day of middle school, because we found out that&nbsp;our birthdays were only 2 days apart.&nbsp; But we very quickly found out we shared&nbsp;many more similarities than just that (often calling ourselves the&nbsp;same person) -&nbsp;participating&nbsp;in the biomedical sciences program in high school, convincing me to join the swim team,&nbsp;attending Salisbury University together&nbsp;(even living together for a couple years), and ultimately going through nursing school together.&nbsp; Only difference now being that she works with adults and I work with kids oh and that&nbsp;she&nbsp;left me and moved to Florida- but luckily we have a nice beautiful and warm place to visit her!&nbsp;

Abigail Lentz

Joey's life changed forever when he met me at some point early in Megan and I's relationship. To her horror,&nbsp;Joey and I quickly formed an alliance against Megan's reign over the men in her life.&nbsp; Joey attended the University of Maryland, with his first two years overlapping with my last two years. Fortunately we never bumped into each other when walking between classes and since neither of us definitely never went to the local drinking establishments due to extensive studying we never had to worry about uncomfortable run-ins there either.&nbsp;

Joey Caudill

Zach and I met our first day of our freshman year at UMD. He lived in the dorm across the hall from mine and we quickly became best buds despite him being a disgrace to the Zack community due to him spelling his name wrong. Zach introduced me to Paintball and we both joined the school's Paintball Team where we met many of our closest friends. Since moving into our freshman dorm, Zach and I didn't sleep more than 10 feet apart from each other until we unfortunately had to go our separate ways after graduating. Some say he still cries himself to sleep every night.&nbsp;

Zach Bouis

Lauren and I met originally as buddies on the cross country team in high school, but didn't truly become best friends until she joined the swim team and we bonded at a swim team dinner.&nbsp; Luckily she loved Chili's just as much as the rest of us so she quickly fit into our friend group - and with 4 of us it was much easier to share the 2 for $20.&nbsp; &nbsp;From weekly shopping trips, swim team &&nbsp;cross country parties, beach trips and our trip to Greece we only grew closer.&nbsp;&nbsp;She even joined Abby and I at Salisbury University.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Lauren St. Pierre

Megan and I met our first day of college at Salisbury when she&nbsp;was my suite-mate, but quickly&nbsp;became a third roommate (and an official roommate the following 3 years of college).&nbsp; We realized that we were twins&nbsp;and would often introduce ourselves by&nbsp;saying "Hi, we're Megan".&nbsp; But we discovered that we were more similar than just having the same name.&nbsp;&nbsp;We love&nbsp;to go for runs together (and both have run half marathons-just not at the same time),&nbsp; share the Pizza Hut dinner box, cheer on the Ravens and the Orioles,&nbsp; find the best Happy Hour deals&nbsp;& share a bottle of wine while watching the Bachelorette.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Megan Findle

Austin and I met early in my freshman year at UMD when we both joined the Paintball Team. Our friendship really solidified when he was one of my roommates and he lived&nbsp;in the solitary&nbsp;frigid&nbsp;basement of our off-campus house, where we got lost in the piercing blue&nbsp;eyes of Robert Herjavec while watching&nbsp;Shark Tank.&nbsp;We must look pretty much identical because the President of the team at the time constantly got us confused, so is Megan marrying me or Austin?&nbsp;Tune in to find out.&nbsp;

Austin Hurd

Amir and I&nbsp;met when I approached the Paintball Team's table at the First Look Fair at UMD. The team was his baby and we helped him in the famous overthrow of the team's thieving tyrant. Because of this, Amir is largely responsible for bringing the gang together that has been an incredibly tight knit group since freshman year. If you see a groomsman with a beard, it's him because the rest of us are physically incapable of growing one.&nbsp;

Amir Yahyazadeh

Kenzie and I met in college. We adopted her into our apartment our sophomore year and lived together for our last&nbsp;2 years.&nbsp; We couldn't have been more different, but as they say opposites attract.&nbsp; I introduced Kenzie to the library (which she did walk through once to take graduation pictures)&nbsp;and Kenzie introduced me to&nbsp;margs, rap&nbsp;and&nbsp;Plaza (the best Mexican restaurant in Salisbury).&nbsp; We did share a mutual hatred of bugs and&nbsp;were great&nbsp;co-parents to our cat Kyle our senior year.&nbsp;&nbsp;
