Heath and Megan met in honors chemistry class at Carson High School, where the sparks weren’t flying just yet. Heath got Megan’s number, mostly for homework help, and they drifted apart after that semester. When prom rolled around, Heath was on the lookout for a date, and a bold like from Megan on a tweet led to him asking her to go—just as friends. After prom, they slowly became best friends, and after a few hangouts (and a denied kiss or two), Heath finally asked Megan to be his girlfriend. They enjoyed their junior and senior years together, but Heath headed to Catawba College for baseball while Megan cheered at Wingate University. They made countless weekend trips to see each other, Heath spent summers in Moorehead City, and even worked in Philadelphia for a few months, but he returned home to work while Megan finished college. When COVID hit, Megan was sent home from college early, and Heath and Megan became a tight-knit trio with their dog, Addy. After Megan completed her master’s to become a therapist, they moved to Kannapolis and added a puppy named Ariel to the crew. After years of waiting, Heath planned the perfect beach proposal with their fur babies, and now they’re excited to celebrate at their wedding and spend the rest of their lives together!
