Q + A

Who can receive the Eucharist at mass?

Only baptized Catholics who have been actively practicing can receive the Eucharist. This means you have been attending mass on a weekly basis and frequenting the Sacrament of Reconciliation. If you were baptized Catholic but have not been actively practicing, we encourage you to attend the Sacrament of Reconciliation in order to come into full communion again with the Church. Otherwise, non-practicing Catholics and those never baptized into the Catholic faith cannot receive the Eucharist.

What should I wear to mass?

Our wedding attire is formal, meaning men should be dressed in shirts and ties at least and women should be in nice dresses or jumpsuits. For mass, we ask that women's shoulders are covered and that the dresses are modest in cut and length.

Does the mass fulfill my Sunday obligation?

No, our wedding mass will occur before the Saturday vigil, so you will need to attend mass on Sunday to fulfill your obligation.

Can I bring a plus one?

We kindly ask that only those whose RSVP on our website includes a guest bring a plus one.

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Your invitation will address if your children are invited to the reception. We unfortunately cannot accommodate anyone under the age of 18 due to the large number of family and friends that will be in attendance. Children are welcome to the mass.

Is there parking at both the ceremony and reception?

Yes! There is a parking lot both at the church and reception locations. At the reception, please park in the parking lot before you enter the gate. If needed, you are allowed to drop off those who cannot walk far distances at the front entrance of the reception hall but you are not allowed to remain parked within the circle or grounds.

Can I take photos or video during the mass?

We will have two professional photographers and a videographer actively capturing the ceremony, so we ask all others not to take photos or video to maintain a reverent atmosphere, limit distractions, and enable everyone to fully participate in our mass.
