New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ are two old colonial towns that straddle the Delaware River just minutes from the venue. They're full of all kinds of vintage shops, clothing stores, galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Come October many of the houses in the area will be fully decked out for Halloween so take a stroll through some of the neighborhoods!
If you're in town for a few days and interested in seeing a show, Bucks County Playhouse performances are ones you don't want to miss! During October you can usually catch a performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Washington's Crossing State Park spans PA and NJ along the Delaware. It has a number of historic landmarks and easy to moderate walking/hiking trails. The Delaware Canal Towpath runs along the water on both sides of the river and will be beautiful in October. It's great for running, biking, walking, and can be picked up at a number of different points between New Hope and Washington's Crossing, including just down the road from Hotel du Village.
Peddler's Village is just up the road from New Hope and houses lots of outlet shopping and cute restaurants. During fall, they host many different activities and festivals all of which are advertised on their website and social media pages.
A short drive away in Doylestown, PA is the Mercer Museum which is a Smithsonian Affiliate and one of the quirkiest and most unique museum experiences you'll find, housed in an 18th century castle. A fun trip for any history buffs or museum aficionados.
