Vince being the romantic that he is, added Megan on Facebook on Valentines Day of 2018. Megan, of course accepted and thought "what a cute guy." However, Megan was in a relationship at the time and lived in Florida so they were just pals that didn't speak, maybe a "like" or a "poke" here and there. (just kidding about the poke)

Fast forward to the summer of 2020. Megan moved home after living in Florida for 7 years. She was thrilled to be reunited with her friends and enjoying the seasons. Megan and Vince met and made small talk at their friends beer league softball games. Shoutout Cleats and Cleavage! They aren't really the athletic type so they were on the bleachers most games. However, there was a game Megan had to sub in. She messaged Vince after and told him he needed to have been there so she didn't have to play.

Megan and Vince talked nonstop that next day, Monday while they were both at work. Literally nonstop.. Vince asked Megan out on a date about 20 minutes into their conversation. Megan likes to think he has been waiting since Feb 14 of 2018 to ask that question.

Their first date was set for October 13, 2020. Vince even got a haircut! We know those are few and far between. Megan ended up asking to reschedule their date as her friends got engaged and there was a surprise engagement party being planned for that night. Vince didn't take it well, he thought Megan wasn't interested but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Vince was so inclined to reschedule their date two days later and altered their dinner reservation. (Vince's hair still looked great)

Vince picked Megan up and they went to Tom's Oyster Bar in Royal Oak. Megan told Vince all about her life in that timeframe and honestly didn't stop talking but I guess Vince enjoyed himself because here they are engaged two and a half years later!

After their first date, they couldn't get enough of each other. Megan is weird and remembers they saw one another 17 of the next 21 days. Vince asked Megan to be his girlfriend on October 29, 2020. He moved into Megan's apartment 6 months later on April 29, 2021. Not to sound like a sap but they have truly built a life together that they love. They have traveled to many places together including Orlando, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, St. Augustine, Las Vegas, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos. They have started going up to Traverse City every year on their anniversary weekend. They also enjoy taking many weekend trips to the west side of Michigan visiting Grand Rapids, Holland and South Haven.

One of the things they love most about their relationship is their seamless transition into the others friend group. They pretty much all knew each other which made "introductions" very easy.

They are very appreciative of their families and their love and support for one another. Vince's parents welcomed Megan in right away with including her on all holiday festivities from the start. She really appreciated that as her parents live in Florida.

Megan's parents met Vince in January 2021 when they took their first trip to visit them in Florida. They took to him right away and they even call one another their best friend. When Vince and Megan's dad went golfing for the first time together there wasn't even that many awkward silences!

Megan and Vince truly cannot wait to celebrate with you all on September 20, 2024 while they embark on their greatest adventure yet! They know that a venue and decor can be beautiful but it's truly the people that will surround them that day and their love for one another that will make 9/20 the best day of their lives!
