“Can I borrow your sunscreen?”

On a hot July day in the summer of 2019, at a pool party in Vegas with music blasting in the background, neither Megan nor Scott knew how such a simple question would blossom into a love that would last a lifetime.

From that moment, they were inseparable.. meeting up all weekend, day and night, to spend time and get to know one another, with Scott even cancelling his return flight so that he could drive Megan home and serenade her to country music.

They bonded through their love of the outdoors, from their first camping trip to Yosemite just months into their relationship, a summer ritual which would see them explore National Parks from Zion, Bryce and Sequoia to hidden gems including Anza Borrego and Kennedy Meadows. When Scott took Megan to see her first giant redwood, she cried. It’s this love and appreciation for the majestic mountains and scenic forests that drew them to say their vows in nature’s natural cathedral in Mammoth.

While many other couples were tested by Covid, Megan and Scott grew stronger through it. He acted as her rock at home while she helped the sick and the desperate on the front lines of the Covid wards at hospitals throughout Southern California. And when they were home, she was his light, always smiling, dancing and making him laugh, even in the darkest of times.

They share a passion for adventure - to see the world and explore every inch of it. Their weekend escapes have often been on two wheels, with Megan on the back of Scott’s bike or with the two of them riding dirt bikes in the deserts of California. Whether exploring = the islands of Greece, sailing the Nile in Egypt or hiking through the untouched Amazon rainforest in Peru, they both know life is better when they embrace its wonders together.
