Spring and early summer are spectacular for wildflower viewing in the Eastern Sierra. As the season gets warmer, the peak bloom rises in elevation, but there is almost always a trail to see flowers. These favorite wildflower hikes are in and around Mammoth Lakes and offer mountain views, alpine lakes, and plenty of wildflowers.
Some of the best streams and rivers are open to year-round in Mammoth! Pack your fly rod and go to Hot Creek, the Upper Owens, Lower Owens, or East Walker River. Be sure to check the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for fishing regulations.

The Double Eagle Resort is a beautiful spot if you're looking to make the 30 minute drive up to June Lake. The views are excellent and it's a perfect breakfast spot! It's probably 45 minutes from our wedding venue though, so recommend just visiting while staying in Mammoth.
